Hi,
I’m new to SCOSUG, relatively new to the area, too.
I have been using Linux for bout 8 years.
I am a professional translator, formerly an English teacher, and am building a Linux distro specific to the industry, Linguas OS (linguasos.org).
About 8 years ago I attended a few ECLUG meetings in New London, and those guys were quite helpful.
I keep learning, but am no expert.
I am just now finally learning some bash scripting and java programming.
Oh, in addition to the distro I am building, I also run Ubuntu (really Kubuntu…with fluxbox, so not really fluxbuntu, since flux was added after install). I formerly ran Fedora, but switched a little over a year ago when I got sick of yum breaking stuff.
I am also the localization coordinator for OmegaT.
Anyway, I suppose that’s enough of an introduction.
I look forward to meeting the group.
Thanks,
Tony

Very cool. I hope we have a meeting soon, it was one of my 2008 resolutions. :-)
We are all big fans of Ubuntu. I had been trying for the last few weeks to get Xbuntu installed on a very nice server with a really crappy TV as a monitor, only it was unusable so I stopped.
Welcome to the group.
