We have been asked this year to coordinate our Picnic with the “Linux Picnic” day. (see: http://www.linuxpicnic.org/twiki/bin/view/Picni…)
The bay area and the dc area are both trying to get their picnics WiFi enabled and get some kind of video share going. Personally, I don’t care much about the WiFi part but it might be I do like a tasty grilled burger.
So, any thoughts on this?
I think it’s a decent idea. Maybe I’m just not seeing the specific date, but it looks like “August 2007” is when this would happen?
Oddly they didnt list one. Im guessing since its to comemmerate the announcement by Linus that it would be on the 25th, a Saturday, this year.
Is that date acceptable to everyone?
At the moment, I have nothing on my calendar for that date that I’m aware of.
Is there any place with picnic facilities and wireless? Or does anyone have a sprintnet/cingularnet card we can use that day? ;-)
I also had a few other picnic ideas.
We just got a sprint usb adapter. I don’t know if there are per minute charges. If not, that might be the ticket.
