scosug meetings

Hello, I am a new user here and I was wondering when the next official meeting will be? I’ve just converted to Linux a few months ago and I am looking to learn more new things I can do.

I’d like to see when the next meeting is and what usually goes on during the meetings. On the site it says the next meeting is in Dec 06, I doubt it wil be tonight though.

We’ve been kind of shut down for the holidays, but will hopefully have a January or February meeting announcement online soon. Until then, please feel free to post any of your Linux questions here, and we’ll be glad to try to help you out.

Speaking of meetings. Where do you normally hold them? I live near Foxwoods and would most likely have to drive a bit. Thanks.

We used to have the meetings regularly at Innovation Software Group in North Haven. However, ISG has moved into new digs (in Wallingford) which aren’t yet set up for hosting these kinds of meetings.

I believe that we’re still looking around for a meeting venue that will work for us. If you have any recommendations, let us know. I believe that we’d like to stay around the Greater New Haven area, as much as possible.

We havent planned to many meetings since we lost our location. If anyone has a suggestion on a location we can start planning for February and beyond. In the meantime there will probably be a dinner gathering sometime soon (End of Jan?) for food/geek talk but no formal meeting or presentation.
